Summer / Teen Camp 2010 Camp Counselors and Medical Volunteers

This is the perfect time to start making a positive impact in the life of children, youth and families living with HIV/AIDS. We know busy work and school schedules often make it difficult to volunteer for projects like Camp Laurel. Please make the time. You will get so much back in return and create memories that will last a lifetime. Campfires, arts & crafts, and cabin skits are just a few of the activities you might enjoy while at Camp Laurel. Learn how to become a volunteer Camp Counselor by clicking here.

What our Camp Counselors are saying about us . . .
"Camp is a time to forget about the worries in our own lives and make a child smile! It is a time to just be silly and send out some good love and get some back!" -- Lorenzo, 17 camps

"Every time I come to camp I learn a new life lesson, and that life lesson is always taught to me through the heart of a camper. I have never had any experience that comes close to what I experience every time I come to camp. It's amazing and life changing and I always come away with more than I could ever give." -- Jody, seven camps.

"Camp means everything . . . It's about Love and Life. It helps me to remember what is really important." -- Ruben - 11 camps

2010 Camp Laurel Program Dates:

Winter Family Camp - February 12-16, 2010
Summer Camp - July 3-10, 2010
Teen Adventure Camp - July 3-10, 2010

Christie's Place Weekend Camp - TBD (only for returning volunteers who attended the two-day training within 12 months)

How to Apply:

Serving as a Camp Laurel Camp Counselor is a rewarding and challenging experience, one that many volunteers return to year after year. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, have some prior experience working with children, be comfortable working with adults and children with HIV/AIDS, and have lots of energy. Experience with resident camps and HIV/AIDS is helpful but is not necessary.
